SLV
This Kind
(Self-Released)

SLV is Sandra Lilia Velasquez of the Latin outfit Pistolera. On her debut solo album, SLV is aligned with Sean Dixon (Zammuto), and the pair bring their respective roots together for a dreamy, ’80s synth-friendly listen that isn’t far from New Wave that embraces much gracefulness. Generally down tempo and introspective, Velasquez’s smokey and soulful vocals easily convey a sense of change in one’s life, while the music is both soothing, playful and unpredictable. (Tom Haugen)
