We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of The Arson Choir’s new music video for their song “ABQ Blue” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s upcoming album Trophy Nation, which is scheduled to be released on May 26th. You can purchase the album here.
The music video was filmed & edited by Videohammer Studios.
The band’s guitarist/bassist//founder Marc Motley commented on the video:
“The video is a small look into how we work as a band. The song and video were all recorded live. We wanted to show that there is no magic that we are not an act. So few bands will show the inner-workings of how they do things and with The Arson Choir, there is no veil that we hide behind.”
Trophy Nation was recorded throughout 2016. The album is a collection of songs recorded, mixed, and mastered at several studios. “Knife Me For It” was recorded, mixed and mastered by Peter Duff at Grey Brick Studios in San Diego, CA. “Tracker Jacker” was also recorded by Duff but was sent to Matt Goldman (The Devil Wears Prada, Underoath, Vanna) at Glow In the Dark Studios for mixing and mastering. The remaining four songs were recorded, mixed and mastered at Catacomb Studios in Hacienda Heights, CA by Johnny Liu (Secrets, Dayseeker).
The 6 track EP is an audio assault on the listener’s senses, clocking at under 25 minutes. The album addresses the topics of anxiety, betrayal, perseverance, and ultimately carving your own future. The themes just like music are very raw and forces the listener to experience these emotions first hand with chaotic riffs and off-time signatures. Combined with their energetic live performance, The Arson Choir offer an experience where they give themselves fully to the music.
