We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Carry On, Kid’s new lyric video for their song “And They Gathered In The Gardens” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming debut album We Belong To Each Other, which is scheduled to be released through Hidden Home Records on January 12, 2018.

Carry On, Kid vocalist/guitarist Christian Anderson commented on the song:

‘And They Gathered In The Gardens’ as a song has gone through various name changes but as a song it has been one of the most natural to write. Each song on this record has gone through several versions of themselves but we actually wrote this song over a year and a half ago and it hasn’t changed much. I wrote it to tell myself I was okay with who I was and where I was. I found myself becoming things that I once wanted and found fond about myself. I was in a place, not of complacency, but of comfort with who I was, where I was going, and who I wanted to become. It was the first time I was content and happy in a long time. I knew I would miss what sadness taught me, but it was such an incredible experience to look at my self and smile.

Bassist Michael Menendez commented on the video: “We had this idea about this sad bag going through his day and not finding fulfillment. But it was a total DIY video so we just turned it into an lyric video.”
