We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of dreamcatchr’s new song “Atheist” (listen below). The track is taken from the band’s sophomore EP Do Dog Ghosts Exist?. The record was recorded and mixed throughout the fall of 2016 by Don Farwell at Earwig Studio in Seattle, WA and mastered by Levi Seitz at Black Belt Mastering.
The sound of the EP is an enigma. Pulsing driving guitar intense waves from the gut. The band has been looking for a direction to take their music but for now is still content creating tracks touching on the darker sides of life, existentialism and the common experience of feeling stuck in place as the world moves around us on the outside.
On the surface this EP has classic pop/indie influences but by looking a little deeper we can see the irregularities and oddities that are present in every dreamcatchr song.

dreamcatchr is an indie rock band from Seattle, WA formed in the spring of 2015. The story began five years ago when Raven MacDaniels (founder, guitar) first ventured into songwriting; toiling away with an electric guitar and a loop machine in an empty bedroom, weaving the musings of a dark mind into soft ballads that never strayed far from their origins. Raven discovered friend Shannon Clark’s raw vocal talent and immediately knew her spirit and voice would pair with the songs’ brooding undertones and optimistic energy. Additional members Lalo Martinez (drums), Ben Dorcy (rhythm guitar) and Michael Bruno (bass) lent their own ideas and gave life to the sound that is now dreamcatchr’s dynamic and melodic style.
After their sold out debut performance and the release of their debut EP, Night Terrors, in early 2016, the group has been playing frequently in Seattle and around the Pacific Northwest, embarking on their first PNW tour during the summer of 2016. Their energetic and engaging live performances are gaining them a reputation as a band to watch out for and they’re excited to continue evolving and contributing in the Seattle music scene.
