Album Review: Airbourne – ‘Breakin’ Outta Hell’

Airbourne
Breakin’ Outta Hell
(Spinefarm Records)

When Airbourne first hit the scene hard with their 2007 debut Runnin’ Wild, I instantly fell for their stripped down, simplistic formula echoing the likes of their Australian counterparts AC/DC. Their latest effort may be more of the textbook same, but in this case, it hits the spot just right. From start-to-finish, it’s filled with epic anthems like “It’s All For Rock N’ Roll,” “I’m Going to Hell For This,” “It’s Never Too Loud For Me,” and my personal favorite, “Rivalry.” It’s nothing life-changing, but if you’re looking to do some hell-raising on a Saturday night, this should do the job.
