One of New Zealand’s finest, Nick Gaffaney and George Pajon Jr., return with more powerful guitar work, memorable grooves and vocal work that constantly changes. Though the album has plenty of interludes that act as transitions into the fuller tunes, the real core of the album is the loud, anthemic rock that parallels Queens of the Stone Age or even Tool, as well as softer, emotive moments that illustrate incredible diversity. A very dramatic album that often seems like it could soundtrack a futuristic movie, there’s a subtle industrial influence amid the dynamic and tense template that makes this one captivating.
