Good ole Lordi. Hard to believe they’re already eight albums in, but they still haven’t lost their touch one bit. The minute I saw there was a song titled “Let’s Go Slaughter He-Man (I Wanna Be the Beast Man in the Masters of the Universe),” I knew the inner ‘80s child in me had to take a listen.

As the title would suggest, the album is somewhat split into two halves, with the first half being straight-forward rock, while the second follows a conceptual theme. Overall it’s a fun ride though, with tracks like “Mary is Dead,” “Slick Flick,” and “Down with the Devil” all sticking out the most. Sure the horror theme gets cheesy, but if you can let your guard down long enough, it’s worth the trip (and just in time for Halloween).

Purchase Monstereophonic (Theaterror vs. Demonarchy) here.
