Minor Moon
What Our Enemies Know
(Self-Release)

Chicago’s Sam Cantor sure has evolved from the bedroom pop recordings of his college days. Now with a band also rooted in The Windy City, his songs draw inspiration from luminaries as wide as Wilco and Neil Young, as Cantor’s soulful version of Americana makes these 5 songs far from standard fare in the singer-songwriter genre. Horns, R&B flavor, and melodies that burn slow and effectively characterize the listen, resulting in outstanding EP from a band that has the potential to reach heights similar to My Morning Jacket.
