The Right Here from Minneapolis, MN are releasing their new LP, Stick to the Plan, on CD (Rum Bar Records), and out July 15 on vinyl (Throwing Things Records). You can stream the album in full now below.
The band comment on the album:
“Stick to the Plan is about dealing with all of what this dumb existence throws at you. The highs and lows, ups and downs, love, loss, and everything else that flies out of the random tornado of life. We named the album Stick to the Plan because we’re constantly trying to do so, even though it’s futile in the end. What these songs are really about is just trying to do what makes you happy, no matter what path you wind up on. Cause that’s all one can really hope for. With that said, we wrote 13 rip roarin’ rock and roll songs that we’re god damn proud of. So just sit back, take off your shoes, and listen. And then listen again.”
The official record release party is set for Friday, July 15th at the Triple Rock Social Club in Minneapolis. They will be joined by a great lineup of bands that includes Arms Aloft, Class of 86, Dingus, and Anchor Windlass. For more details on the festivities, RSVP via Facebook here.
The record was recorded and mixed by Andy Mathison (Class of 86, Bird Attack) at Immortal Audio in Minneapolis. Mastered by Steve Corrao at Sage Audio (Nashville, TN). You can watch a video for “Leaving for a Reason,” from the upcoming album, below.
The Right Here formed in 2010. They released their first full length, All Herky-Jerky, in 2012 and followed it up with a digital EP in 2013. Their sound has grown over the past six years to form a unique brand of punk rock which often pays tribute to American roots music, combining high-energy, rowdy beats and melodic gang vocals with honest lyrics and blues-twang riffs.
