We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Can’t Swim’s new single “God Awful” (listen below) which is being released through Pure Noise Records. Chris LoPorto on Can’t Swim commented on the song:

“‘God Awful’ was recorded when we were doing the sessions for ‘Fail You Again.’ For one reason or another we decided not to put it on the album. In the last few months, it’s kinda just lived in our emails being played once in a while on shuffle. As time went on, we started kicking ourselves for cutting it and missed playing it at practice. Luckily, the label felt the same way and wanted to release it.

Lyrically, it touches on a topic I’ve never covered in any of our other songs so I’m looking forward to singing it every night now that it’s out.

So, I guess the moral of the story is, sometimes picking your favorite songs for a record is like picking one of your children as a favorite. But, if one of my kids had a 3 over 4 polyrhythm bridge……..”

Based out of Keansburg, NJ, Can’t Swim was founded by singer Chris Loporto (Krier) in the spring of 2015. After spending most of his life playing drums in various bands, Krier decided to step in to song writing. The songs were contagious from the start and grabbed the attention of his good friends Chez, Danny and Greg. The band signed with Pure Noise Records in late 2015 and released their EP, Death Deserves A Name, in early 2016. Earlier this year the band released their debut full-length record Fail You Again.

The band will be touring with Have Mercy and Boston Manor this Fall – see dates below.
