We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Everyone Is Dirty’s new song “My Neon’s Dead” (stream it below). The song is the title track taken from their forthcoming album, which is scheduled to be released through OIM Records on September 28th. You can pre-order the album here.

The album launch comes following a particularly harrowing stretch of time for the band’s lead singer/electric violinist Sivan Lioncub who nearly died due to a penicillin allergy. In short, Everyone Is Dirty is back with an undeniable energy and sense of urgency.

I highly recommend checking out this short trailer to get an idea of Lioncub’s incendiary performance with the electric violin and her bad-assery in general.

Everyone Is Dirty’s Sivan Lioncub commented on the song, “Read a book. There’s not much else to do when you’re flat on your back floating in a calm ocean of dilaudid in Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley. Somewhere up there that commercial about vaginal mesh keeps playing in a loop on the TV. What is vaginal mesh, I wonder as I suck on a lemon flavored sponge cuz I’m hungry but my gut doesn’t work. I’ve been infected. The words on the page, sci-fi visions of Neuromancer have perfectly fused together with hospital rituals. My sexy buck tooth nurse becomes my heroine assassin who has come to take my blood. Maybe tonight I can convince her to break me the fuck out of here.”
