We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Legend’s new album Midnight Champion (listen below), which is scheduled to be officially released through Artoffact Records on October 13th. You can pre-order the album here.

About the band:

Legend is a rock outfit from the heart of Reykjavik, Iceland, consisting of Krummi Bjorgvinsson (Minus, Esja) and Halldor “Dori” Bjornsson (Solstafir), as well as live members Frosti Jon Runolfsson and Bjarni Sigurðarson (Minus). Formed in 2010, the band released its debut album Fearless on Toronto-based Artoffact Records in 2012, which took album of the year nods from Sonic Seducer and Zillo Magazine as well as high praise from media as diverse as Terrorizer, iTunes, and the Toronto Star.

In 2013 the band played all over Europe and Canada including a tour with electronic pop superstars VNV Nation. 2014 saw Legend collaborate with country-mates Solstafir on a 7″ vinyl that had the bands cover each others’ songs. The two 7″ tracks were streamed by Pitchfork and Last Rites, and the two bands continue working together, with Dori Bjornsson providing keyboards on Solstafir’s Season of Mist-release Otta later in 2014 (as well as the upcoming record Berdreyminn). Legend continued to play shows and festivals in 2015 and 2016, while work also began on their second album, Midnight Champion.

What a piece of work. Amazing album! Midnight Champion, Scars and Time To Suffer are the highlights for me.
