Song Premiere: Scarboro – “Downward Spiral”

We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Scarboro’s new song “Downward Spiral” (listen below). The track is taken from the band’s debut LP Here Comes the Hangover, which will be released on February 3, 2017 through WTF Records. The album was recorded at Studio G Brooklyn and was mixed & produced by Francisco Botero (Rosetta) and mastered by Alex de Turk at Masterdisk (OFF!, Red Fang). You can pre-order Here Comes the Hangover on iTunes, and it’ll be available for streaming through Spotify.

Scarboro vocalist/guitarist Shi comments on the song:

“‘Downward Spiral’ is about the existential dread that comes with realizing you can’t fight life’s clock and not being where you thought you wanted to be in life. It was written from the perspective of being constrained by the monotony of the things we all have to do just to get by that often lead to unwanted sacrifices – whether it’s hobbies, or dreams or whatever – that as you get farther along you look back and realize you’ve been building a catalog of regrets instead. This song captures the moment when that realization causes things to spiral out of control in a not so good way.”

Scarboro will be kicking 2017 off with a tour in February. Tour announcement coming soon.
