We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Sharkswimmer’s new song “A Vacant Light” (listen below). The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming EP.
The first single explores the tedious task of fitting into a new city while trying to remain connected to loved ones back home. “A Vacant Light” provides an energetic and optimistic soundtrack to “finding your way in.” The mood of the guitars transport you into the front seat of a car driving on a breezy spring day with the windows down – a hint of nostalgia, while still feeling fresh.
Sharkswimmer is a 4 piece indie/punk band hailing from Brooklyn, New York. In September of 2017, frontman and Austin, TX native Justin Buschardt decided it was about time to dig some new songs out of hiding and turn them into something more than just a bedroom project. Inspired by bands such as Culture Abuse, Sunny Day Real Estate, Dinosaur Jr., Saves the Day, Hot Snakes, Pity Sex, and Cloud Nothings (to name a few), their overall sound is always shifting and can be fairly hard to put your finger on. Sharkswimmer consists of singer/guitarist Justin Buschardt, guitarist Danny de Juan, bassist Ted Jamison, and drummer David Fine.
