We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Miracle Me’s new music video for their song “Miss Me I’m Gone” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s upcoming EP Rounding the Mark.
“Miss Me I’m Gone” marks the revival and heart felt return for Miracle Me, the first release since the groups debut album 11:11 in 2012 and a new direction for singer-songwriter Garrett Reasoner who has found himself breathing new life into the project with a very personal spin.
“Lyrically, the upcoming EP ‘Rounding the Mark’ is some of the most intimate thoughts I’ve ever put in my songs. I see them as a coping mechanism to sort through the things I have been feeling and experiencing within myself, my family and other personal relationships over the last few years.
When I think about writing ‘Miss Me I’m Gone’ I can sum it up as a song that expresses leaving a loved one behind because they’re simply not good for you. It documents the cycle of dealing with heartbreak, acceptance and moving on, something we’ve all gone through in our own way at one point or another.
This song is also particularly special to me because I was able to include my brother, Greg, on background vocals during recording as well as feature my dad on a track titled ‘If It Only Was That Simple.’ There is definitely a lot of very special personal moments on this record that I’m happy to have been able to capture. My hope is that others can relate to these songs, enjoy them and maybe even resonate enough with them to be of some help.”
Miracle Me entered the studio earlier this year to record “Miss Me I’m Gone,” as well as their upcoming EP, with Rob Marshall & Nic Gracia of The Canvas Group. Other credits include mastering by Michael Romanowski at Coast Mastering and “Miss Me I’m Gone” video production and photography by Matt Johnston & Sage G.C. of Paper Mirror Films.
