1971 Premiere Music Video For “Love”

Out of the woods of Kenora, Ontario come 1971. The band have been around a couple of years, rolling through basements with their raw punk energy. They are celebrating the release of a music video for the song “Love.” The track is a fuzzy post-punk jam with an atmospheric presence. The tune comes from 1971’s latest EP, Burning Bridges Before They’re Crossed. The three song EP combines dissonant melodies into beautiful progressions of hefty, deliberate punk. The EP was recorded by J. Riley Hill at Sad Boys Club in Winnipeg.

For “Love,” the video makes use of a constant distorted image on the shots, having love be a simple distraction for the musical spectrum that 1971 wanted to get across. Watch the video below.
