Fidan Aliva is originally from Baku, Azerbaijan and is 29 years old. Out this month, check out her new album, MOLECULE90.

Fidan is a graduate of the local school of violin. She moved to Vienna in 2009 and worked for big, international organizations such as UNCTAD, UNDP, and OSCE, and obtained a BA in International Law.

She never quit producing in the meantime, collaborating with local musicians and performing in local venues in Vienna.

“I always wanted to compose my own music, but I never knew that I would go this far one day. I quit my job for music because by the age of 27 I finally realized that music was my only real occupation and that’s where I had to be,” she says.

In 2018 Fidan moved back to Baku for several music projects and established her own music production label.

“ I have been producing tracks for popular local and international artists and was involved in international festivals and events as an artist manager and producer such as Grand Prix F1 Baku, ZHARA Music Festival 2018/2019 Baku, New Wave Sochi 2019. Being a female producer is not so common, even nowadays. Regardless, I managed to gain a wide attention in my home country as a producer and arranger. “

By the end of 2019, Fidan made a decision to launch her independent artist career with a debut EP, MOLECULE90.

“I wrote all the songs on the E.P. first back in 2015 when I was in Sicily acting in a short movie. Inspired by Caravaggio and Italy, I do believe, I put a unique atmosphere and sound to my music. You can feel those unique flavors in the songs, which reflect the most important emotional experiences I have been through in Italy. My music has a smooth feel but at the same time evocative melodies. I do not want my music to overload my listeners. Therefore, they will always find calming vibes.”
