New Jersey quintet Serious Matters release their debut LP, Mistaking Wasps For Dragonflies today. Stream it with us right here.

“This record has been a work in progress for two years,” Kenny Byles says. “For us to finally release it and let it be a part of the world is a huge accomplishment for us. This record touches on heavy topics that normally people wouldn’t want to talk about. Sometimes things that you think are great aren’t always so great, but that’s okay. We hope everyone enjoys it, and thank you so much for listening.”

The New Jersey outfit take influence from across alternative rock, emo, and punk, delivering a sound that balances impactful, driving guitars with emotive lyricism, nods to the likes of Thrice, Taking Back Sunday, and Coheed & Cambria evident on Serious Matters’ upcoming, debut, full-length Mistaking Wasps for Dragonflies.
