Dilly Dally

Listening to Toronto’s Dilly Dally gave me the same feeling of I had when I heard the first Babes In Toyland album. It’s a fierce and tumultuous listen, where post-punk, grunge and punk tendencies come through in a display of power, emotion and one hell of an engaging listen. Front woman Katie Monks has a raspy snarl but can manipulate her voice into sweeter, softer moments, while the band swirls and gets distorted in all the best ways that bring to mind Sonic Youth and Pixies. Yes, it’s that good. (Tom Haugen)
