(Red Scare)

Pop punk but certainly not in the cliched sense of the term, this Colorado outfits sophomore album is full of hook friendly melodic rock, very tuneful post-hardcore with gang vocals and even a folk spirited ballad. Lyrically it’s all substance; autobiographical tales of hard times, soul searching, and references to Sylvia Plath though the music doesn’t fall into any dark paths- it’s upbeat, charged and reminiscent of No Use For A Name, Millencolin, or Rise Against. The first listen here sparks intrigue. By the third spin this will be your new favorite band. (Tom Haugen)
