Eternal Summers
Gold And Stone
(Kanine)

Reportedly looking to insert more ‘lush and radiant textures’ as well as classic rock and jazz influences into their dream-punk noise, this fourth album from Eternal Summers does just that while retaining their strong melodic guitars and Nicole Yun’s vocals that are both soft and antagonistic. The band’s sound here illustrates them evolving from their sparse pop days into one of the most interesting outfits in indie-rock, where jangly, summery fun has plenty of gritty bite and punk-friendly sophistication.
