America Has More Juggalos Than Trump Supporters

Insane Clown Posse - Juggalos

Right before The Million Juggalo March took place in  D.C., there was a lot of debate about whether or not the Insane Clown Posse enthusiasts were trivializing the issues in America caused by Trump, or drawing attention away from other causes. It turns out, they actually made a pretty powerful stand: more Juggalos turned out in support of their cause than Trump supporters did.

The Juggalos came out en masse in D.C. on September 16, in protest of an FBI report from 2011 that labels the group a loosely organized gang. The rally drew nearly 1,500 people, most of whom came out wearing clown-inspired face paint and lots of wild gear. Nearby, huddled near the Washington Memorial, Trump supporters organized a gathering called The Mother of All Rallies, which allegedly was not a left or right movement, but a chance to wear “Make America Great Again” gear and show support for the man who so much of America is railing against. The number of Trump supports that showed up to the event was in the low hundreds, a fact made even more comical by Our Fearless Leader’s initial boasts about immense supporter turnout right after his election. A few members of Antifa were also on hand during the rally, allegedly to protect the Juggalos and their right to protest.

While some still take issue with the fact that the Juggalos are showing up and making a fuss about their treatment when people of color and immigrants are being persecuted in such a scary way, this was still a major victory for the weird and the wayward, and pretty much anyone who doesn’t want to play by the rules or live in an America where bullying is tolerated. Whether or not you can stand listening to ICP, you have to hand it to their fans: they really do stick together like family.
