LA’s Ancestors are back with their first album in six years — Suspended in Reflections is out 8/24, and the band have released a music video for their song “Gone”
Ancestors create mighty, modern music that dovetails slow, heavy riffs and atmospheric, melodic instrumental passages, exuding a deep sense of melancholy. Slimming down their lineup from 5 to 3 members, the band creates slow and vast, dreamy and heavy soundscapes, branching out from the typical realms of rock and metal instrumentation — Neurosis vibes with jazzy basslines, proggy strings, and an Aeolian-Skinner church organ with close to 1,941 pipes. Also be touring with Elder this fall in Europe.
