Kurt Orzeck

I am a nationally recognized writer/editor/content specialist with 27 years of professional experience. Over the course of my career, I have written approximately 10,000 cover stories, artist interviews, features, news reports, album and concert reviews, and columns. I currently contribute to New Noise, FLOOD, Treble, The Big Takeover, Citylife, Music Connection, The Bad Penny, and Knotfest.com. My extensive past credits include RollingStone.com, Vulture/New York Magazine, Reuters, Alternative Press, Thrasher, MTV.com, and many more. Additionally, I appeared on NPR, was quoted as an authority on music in USA Today, hosted a "Daily Show" roundtable at Politicon, delivered presentations about music journalism at UCLA and the Idaho Writers Guild Conference, and taught a monthlong course at Boise State University's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute on the evolution of rock and roll from Elvis Presley to Jimi Hendrix. I love Nirvana, Queens of the Stone Age, The Jesus Lizard, Refused, Fluisteraars, Shellac, At the Gates, Mastodon and -- most importantly of all -- my lab/hound, Lily.
