We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Babe Parade’s music video for their song “Divisions” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s latest EP Fortune, which is available now through Bandcamp, Spotify, and all other major digital distributors.
The band commented on the video:
Originally conceptualized by our buddy Carlos Monterrey, who ended up shooting the video. The idea was to capture the momentum of the song as it builds. Carlos used close ups shots not to isolate one particular band member, but to create a singular showcase of the music. The video was then edited by our homie Matt Beck, whose efforts definitely shaped what the video is today. Overall, we’re happy with how the video turned out. It aligns with what we feel is important, keeping the focus on the music not the face.
About the band:
Babe Parade is a four-piece alternative/indie rock band based in Los Angeles, California. Babe Parade’s background in music recording and film production brings an interesting approach to independent music – aiming to inspire both artists and listeners sonically and visually.
Created out of the ashes of previous bands and the relocation of a few members (from San Francisco to Los Angeles), Babe Parade formed in 2013 but it wasn’t until late 2015 when the band finalized their line up and then started to shift gears towards playing more shows. Since then, the band has self-released two EPs and played numerous shows throughout the Los Angeles area, as well as San Francisco, San Luis Obispo, El Centro, and San Diego. In summer 2018, Babe Parade self-released their third EP Fortune. The band plans to release more songs in the Fall and then following up with a short West Coast tour.
Upcoming Show:
October 5 – North Hollywood, CA at the California Institute of Abnormalarts
