For the latest installment of their Split Hits the Fans seven inch series, Failure Records & Tapes is getting heavy … and weird! Volume five will be released September 6 and will feature Cleveland, Ohio metallic hardcore legends and Relapse recording artist Ringworm as well as Detroit, Michigan noise punk weirdos and Housecore alums Child Bite. It’s a match made in heretic heaven. “

Adding Child Bite and Ringworm to the long list of punk and metal bands that have done this damn thing is huge for us,” Failure co-founder Matt Swisher explains. “I’m stoked on both of these bands being from the Midwest as well. Hard working, abrasive, pummeling fucking bands.”

Previous editions from the Indiana label have included punk luminaries like The Queers, Sloppy Seconds and The Dwarves, but this will be Failure’s highest profile release to date. Child Bite has recorded a trio of new tracks, “The Fool”, “The Creeper” and “The Masochist”, especially for the occasion. New Noise is thrilled to premier the hard hitting new Child Bite song, “The Fool”. It’s 68 seconds of pure sonic madness and aggression.

The two Ringworm contributions, “I Hide In You” and “I’m Not Right,” were digital bonus tracks from their critically acclaimed 2019 LP Death Becomes My Voice. This is the first time these songs have been made available physically. Child Bite singer Shawn Knight and bassist Sean Clancy will also be handling the artwork and screen printing for this extremely limited release. Failure will officially unleash the vinyl on September 6 at the Full Terror Assault metal festival in Cave In Rock, Illinois, where Ringworm will be performing. Only 500 hundred copies will be available on colored vinyl.
