Hand of Chain are a hardcore punk outfit from Cirebon, West Java, featuring members of LOA, Ancy, and Distgard. They recently released a new two-song single called Self Devastation on Set the Fire Records and it’s currently streaming on their label’s Bandcamp.
First off on the single is “Half 2 Chain” which rattles off power chords effortlessly to create a furiously powerful hardcore track. The song doesn’t so much end as much as it just rolls straight into the second track “Northside Hardcore” which continues the chord-heavy progression of the first song. It’s vital and important hardcore for any true fan of the genre.
