Though they could earn the recognition for name alone, Bandcamp Of The Day goes to Harmonica Lewinski for an excellent blend of timeless garage rock and campy fun.
The Rochester, New York quintet revels in the sort of ’60s, garage rock revival championed by the Burger Records scene with a generous dose of psych, little bit of sleeze, a pinch of lo-fi aesthetics, and a hard commitment to good times.
The band’s newest album, Human BBQ, made it onto one of the last shipments out of the pressing plant before a shutdown due to Covid-19. Despite being unable to play shows, Harmonica Lewinski have committed to releasing the 10″ LP on April 24.
If you’re interested in what the band promises to be “nine tasty tracks slathered in that twisted, lo-fi beach bump” you can pre-order Human BBQ here.
