Invultation are a bestial death metal group hailing from the darkest depths of Cleveland, Ohio.
They have a new album coming out on Sentient Ruin on August 18 called Feral Legion. The first single off the album, “Severed Umbilical Chaos,” is currently streaming on both the band and the label’s Bandcamps, but the label’s also allows you to pre-order the album on vinyl, CD, or cassette.
“Severed Umbilical Chaos” doesn’t waste any time getting into the full-on blitz of loud, powerful metal. At just a little over four minutes in length, the song moves through so many different movements that you’ll think you just sat and listened to a 10-minute song. Still, for all the abrupt, mathy changes in the rhythm throughout the song, the intensity never lets up for a second, creating a punishing and brutal death metal journey that certainly shows promise for the rest of the record.
