Welcome to the working week, rockers! Legacy of Brutality are a death metal band from Puerto De Vega, Spain. They put out a new album earlier this year called Travellers to Nowhere, and it’s currently streaming on their Bandcamp.
The whole album starts on its own title track, which clocks in a whopping 20 minutes in length. It begins with a long guitar ringing out before the blast beats come in to set sail on this epic opus. Made up of a series of different movements, “Travellers to Nowhere” still manages to be a cohesive whole for its entire length.
“Crimson Dawn” follows with a traditional death metal formula, a little faster than the first track, with a constant stream of absolutely devastating blast beats. “After the Forests Have Burned” ends the album exactly how it started, with powerful, riff-heavy metal and machine-gun-fire drumming.
