Maudiir are a blackened thrash metal band from Montreal, Québec.
They’re putting out a new album on April 7 called Soliloque, and the first single, “L’Éloge du Cuivre,” is available on their Bandcamp right now.
Break out your French knowledge for this one. It’s a pummeling metal track but one not without its share of punk influence an the chords pound in a fiery fury. That guitar definitely has one foot in punk and one in metal, while the drummer keeps up a fairly simple nu metal beat. It’s got a great edge to it without just getting lost in how hard and heavy it is.
