Modern Rituals are—or, perhaps, were—an indie-pop band from London, U.K.
They recently released what they’re calling their final EP Razed on God Unknown Records, with the band announcing an indefinite hiatus following this EP. The EP is currently streaming on their label’s Bandcamp.
It starts with a differently spelled title track in “Raised” which has a really fun hook and melody, but also crosses into a noisy, chaotic territory. “Call of Follow” plays off some really fun guitar riffs and distorted vocals. Then “Famiglia” is a bit slower and dreamier, creating something really beautiful. The last two tracks are remixes, with The Keep’s remix of “Passageway” becoming haunting and ethereal, and JXhale’s remix of “ThickWall” getting some really fun electronic elements. It’s certainly a great way to end the band on a high note.
