Nic Fit are a queercore and hardcore punk band from Vancouver, British Columbia.
They recently put out a new EP called Steganography, and it is classic hardcore punk at its finest. It’s a violent attack of power chords paired with biting political commentary that musically harkens back to the 80s but lyrically stays planted in issues of 2022.
After three pummeling tracks, “Furor” takes the tempo down for a slow and deliberate hardcore slow burn before unleashing the Kraken and returning to the fierce guitars and blistering drums. Then “The Queers Will Have Their Say” closes out the EP with 65 seconds of justifiable queer rage. A powerful album from top to bottom.
