Porch Coffin are a punk band from Orlando, Florida.
They recently put out a new, stand-alone single called “Rosen Hotel.” It’s their first new music since their self-titled debut LP that came out last year, and it’s currently available on their Bandcamp.
The single is pure pop punk fun with just a little touch of something harder. The opening guitar riff is very Ramones-esque as the snot-nosed vocals come in and paint a bizarre picture of the titular hotel with the lyrics. As the song goes on, the vocals get harsher, and there’s even that rare punk rock guitar solo, but it’s still always steeped in punk rock. Even as the end of the song descends into screaming chaos, it picks up for a few big, chunky, catchy power chords right after the screaming dies down. If you’re a fan of any type of pop punk, you’ll definitely want to check out this absolute banger of a song.
