Self Defense Family, the enigmatic, ever-evolving, ever-revolving musical collective fronted by vocalist Patrick Kindlon, release their latest installment of the Island singles series, Make Me A Pallet Fire On Your Floor” / “Local Clerics today via Run For Cover Records.

The Island singles series offer snapshots in time and have been recorded in studios all over the world including Jamaica, Iceland, Scotland, and now Australia. The songs from this effort were recorded with Neil Thomason at Headgap Studios and include a collaboration with Amy Muir (Fourteen Nights at Sea) on organ.
