We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of BEITTHEMEANS’ music video for their song “The Black (2018),” directed by Video Rahim – watch it below. The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming EP Alabama Calling, which is scheduled to be released on August 31, 2018 through Cornelius Chapel Records. You can pre-order the EP here.

“The Black (2018)” is available now through all major digital distributors.

The band commented on the song & video:

The song ‘The Black’ was written with the intent to educate the public on drug addiction and mental illness while reminding them the dangers of complacency. There are a lot of people in our society walking around with these specific demons and addictions like zombies and we’ve become too comfortable dismissing them. We have to look at addiction and mental illness as what it really is, a world wide healthcare epidemic and not a problem for our courts systems. When we met with Video Rahim we explained what the song meant to us and then we left him to produce his beautiful art how he saw fit. We couldn’t have predicted how much he saw right into our hearts and gave us something greater than we could have ever imagined! Without pandering he was able to take our thoughts and turn them into an amazing visual journey. We have been so lucky to have such an amazing team over the years and now Video Rahim will always have a seat at our table.

About the band:

BEiTTHEMEANS’ breakout EP Alabama Calling is the jewel crowning 15 years of crafting triumphantly authentic southern rock ‘n’ roll. Recorded at Sonic Lounge Studios by Joe Viers (Marshall Tucker Band, Lydia Loveless), the album has a solid radio rock quality showcasing the Alabama power trio’s dynamic blues-infused melodic metal songwriting and electrifying performance. With lyrics and aesthetic flowing effortlessly from working class blues to the occult, they’ve been described as “Tom Petty and Clutch writing songs together” (Marty McCoy, Bobaflex), and have been featured on the hit FX drama Sons of Anarchy.

BEiTTHEMEANS will be direct support on a 30 date tour with Swedish heavy rock band Mustasch (see dates below).

For fans of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Black Sabbath, SRV, 16 Horsepower, QOTSA, Kings of Leon, and Mastodon.

I’ve had the great pleasure of meeting and speaking to the guys after a home town gig and let me tell you they are truly salt of the Earth type people not at all bothered by the mob wanting a selfie, autograph (thanks for signing my copy of Marble City Secrets Are Off In The Black!) or just to tell them thanks for a helluva good show! Damn good band and first class people, too!
