Bob Gorman’s “Gormania” To Be Inaugural Exhibition at First Friday at GWARbar

GWARbar, GWAR’s very own watering hole and restaurant is extremely excited to present a new event “FIRST FRIDAY at GWARbar beginning May 6th. The first event features acclaimed artist Bob Gorman, known for his work with GWAR and Slave Pit Inc.  The event takes plase from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. This new monthly event will occur on the first Friday of every month at the GWARbar.

The inaugural event “Gormania” is scheduled for Friday May 6th. The exhibition will showcase longtime GWAR member and artist Bob Gorman. Gorman’s spectacular art will be on display and Bob will be there to discuss his creations. Many of these one of a kind pieces will be available for sale.

Bob Gorman began working with Slave-Pit and GWAR in 1988. After a short stint of part time involvement he dropped out of Art school and has been involved almost full time with GWAR ever since. Initially his involvement was prop fabrication and live character roles, but over the years this evolved into a multitude of other duties. A contributing writer, penciler, inker, and colorist to Slave-pit’s self published “Slave-pit Funnies”, Three tours of stage managing GWAR’s live show, Shop foreman for the fabrication department from 1997 to the present are among a few of those roles. Bob resides in Richmond, and has just released his History of GWAR coffee-table book, “Let There Be GWAR”. Bob also creates his own artwork, custom sculpture bicycles, and concrete trolls.  Bob also is co owner of Corotted Artistry, a costume and prop fabrication house.
