The brilliant sludge band from Oakland just announced three special shows in May.

Brainchild of Greg Wilkinson and started as a one-sludge factory with guitars and a drum machine, the band was destined to recruit others and become a living, breathing, entity. Brainoil have now committed to some stage debauchery in May with the promise of a continued live appearances to be announced later.

Their most recent record, Singularity To Extinction channels and exorcises misanthropic isolation into riff-drenched tidal waves of sonic saturation. The enmity finally flowing from Wilkinson’s forsaken soul and capable fingers surges with wretched and tormented glory.

Sludge swagger transitioning into charging death metal glory is a description that should trigger any audience to salivate and devour this unique blend of treacherous misery. Elements of hardcore, powerviolence, sludge, and death all copulate in a corroded coffin to unleash a caustic deluge of spite and rage. The album is available on CD, limited LP, and digital formats via Tankcrimes.
