From April 26th-28th, Breakin’ Even Presents will transform Washington DC’s newest and sweetest venue the Pie Shop into a punk rock paradise with a dozen bands, merch raffles, and pie – when in Rome; right?
The three nights will be headlined by Worriers, Kali Masi, and Worlds Scariest Police Chases. The roster is filled out by strong support from touring acts Great Wight, Dollar Signs, Night Surf, and Trash Boy plus DMV area locals Homosuperior, DoubleMotorcycle, American Television, Subtastics, Fail Sons, and Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.
“We love curating Breakin’ Even. Bringing emerging punk rock acts and bands from our local scene together helps forge new friendships between artists. That’s important to maintaining a strong DIY scene,” says organizer Steve Rovery.
“Someone from the audience may come out to see a friend’s band and discover two more acts that blow their mind. Our area has amazing talent and it’s part of the Breakin’ Even Fest mission to bring it front and center.”
