News: The Last Gang Unleash new Single ‘Madness’ ahead of New Album Obscene Daydreams

The Last Gang

California punk outfit The Last Gang just dropped a banger with “Madness.” Just ahead of their album Obscene Daydreams, this is punk in its purest form. The track tells the tale of pure madness within us, very relatable. This piece of music has the residual exterior of Courtney Love and the insides of gutting punk from the ’80s and ’90s.

Check out the “Madness” video below.

Obscene Daydreams, The Last Gang’s third studio album, is a potent blend of hard-hitting, sharply written punk anthems. It is available for preorder and is scheduled for release on September 20. The group, led by the vocalist and guitarist Brenna Red, is well-known for her raw energy and catchy melodies. Obscene Daydreams, which address themes of rage, defiance, love, and self-belief.

The band expressed their inspiration of the new track, “Madness” is different than anything we’ve released. It’s a ‘90s-esque grungy sort of rocker and the only love song TLG has ever written. It was the second to last demo we introduced during the writing process, and it immediately felt like it was going somewhere. Of course, we had not thought of it being the first single for the album at that time. Simple but catchy, this story of hysterical-lunatic love is a good representation of the diversity of songs on the new record.”

Just in case you have not listened to their music prior to “Madness,” one can experience other tracks, “Sing for your Supper” and “Blood Drunk” have such a twist in their music, merging some dark rhythms and punk vocals very addictive. Their music stands alone and gets us going, just what we need today.
