Video Premiere: Calling Apollo – “Tiny Things”

Calling Apollo

“‘Tiny Things’ is a quite a personal song about a difficult time when all you can do is rely on the love and brilliance of people you don’t know,” comments Calling Apollo.

We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of the band’s music video for the song (watch below), which is taken from Calling Apollo’s forthcoming album The Great Depression: Act II.

About the band:

Calling Apollo, are an energetic 5-piece rock band from Cardiff, Wales, with sounds ranging from raw guitar driven riffs to atmospheric orchestral compositions.

They started writing music together at the end of 2015 and instantly decided to go into the studio with Romesh Dodangoda, where they recorded their debut EP Hunter | Gatherer. The EP had some really great reviews; Alt Corner described the lead single “Monsters” as “a track you could scream your lungs out to at every show.”

In mid-2016 they went into the studio to record the second release The Great Depression: Act: I with Todd Campbell (Straight Lines, Samoans). This was always intended to be a 12-track, full-length record but they decided to release them as two separate 6-track records. Act: I‘s theme was to explore political attitudes in 1920s USA and how they mirror today’s attitudes here in the UK.

The lead single “Clone City” was broadcast on Scuzz TV and when Alex Baker from Kerrang! Radio played the track on his radio show; he described it as “rousing, beautiful and just huge.”

Act: II is now set for release on 16 February 2018 and Calling Apollo are excited for people to hear what they’ve been working on to end the Great Depression chapter. It’s their proudest work yet.

They are currently booking tours and weekenders in 2018 in UK and Europe to support Act II.
