We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of The Co Founder’s acoustic performances of three songs, which they’ve titled “The Golden Gate Sessions” (watch below). The band comments:
“The Golden Gate Sessions were filmed on Thursday, Dec. 4th at the Golden Gate Overlook. Audio by Luke Hogfoss, video by Lindsay Shern. Full versions of ‘Either Way,’ ‘Tonight,’ and ‘Poet/Thief’ are available via iTunes, Spotify, and all other major streaming/purchasing outlets.”
Over the past year The Co Founder has been named one of the Top 50 unsigned artists of the Pacific Northwest (NW Music Scene), as well as best Local Pop Act (What’s Up Magazine). Comprised of members of other well-known PNW groups such as The Palisades, Vervex, and The City Hall, the band released their debut full length, Wye, described by The Permanent Rain Press as “full of soft and sleepy tunes that rise up to pack a surprising punch, staying honest with a stripped-down feel,” on September 8th via Do206.
Gaining a reputation for their relentless touring schedule, the group has drawn comparisons to dynamic-pop acts such as Manchester Orchestra, The Restorations, and Pinegrove. Currently on the tail end of their Winter Touring cycle, The Co Founder will be heading back through the Bay Area this March as part of their SXSW Tour (corresponding with the release of a new vinyl 7”, containing two newly recorded, unreleased tracks).
