Texas based rocker Cody Jasper just dropped his latest EP Geronimo along with an official video for “Tijuana Taxi”. Jasper’s first release on Evil Teen Records (founded by guitar icon Warren Haynes) is a bombastic rock ‘n’ roll statement dripping in Texas attitude with enough soul, wit and grit to satisfy classic and modern rock fans alike. He follows in the footsteps of other contemporary giants from the label (notably Marcus King) with a musical identity completely his own.

Cody has this to say about wild story behind “Tijuana Taxi”
“‘Tijuana Taxi’ is the name of the sprint car my granddad (Greg Lee) built and raced. He was a legend as a sprint-car builder in my hometown of Amarillo, TX and along the Route 66 Motor Speedway. His ashes are even spread around the race track! I always wanted to use the name of his famous car in a song title. My father would tell me stories about my OTHER granddad (Lee Jasper) running Coors in his hot rod station wagon up to Kentucky during the prohibition era – I always had this image in my head of him being this outlaw booze runner…which turns out not to be far from the truth. So, I combined both stories about my granddad’s into one song!”
