Russian band Lurve cultivate authenticity with self-titled record.
The band design cosmic sounds throughout Lurve. Songs written about reality swim through speakers. The tracks hone in on people who appear and disappear from the cycle of the artist’s life.
“ Women, alcoholic madness, failures, fleeting loves and sympathies, dissatisfaction, hatred of oneself and others, alternating with despair and anxiety, internal contradictions: fear of being abandoned and abandoned, but at the same time repulsion of others,” Say Lurve regarding the record. “This is a rough cut of my life that I have not told anyone about, and this is my most personal statement out loud.”
