Make for Maine are a post-hardcore band from Virginia who are set to release their record, Altars on March 4.
The record features single “Unhealthy Confidence,” the single showcases melodies towered among smooth vocals and controlled screams to compliment them.
Among the tracklist is opening track “Kintsugi” featuring an emotional set of vocals that lay next to and all consuming melody, the track embodies strategic elements that guide listeners in a new direction of music.
“February” is a track that comes in loaded, with screeching guitars and a slick back-and-forth between clean and screaming vocals. The song focuses on different vocal techniques, utilizing a hint of spoken word creating diverse and ear pleasing direction.
The band slow down their tempo within “Postscript” with a graceful melody, rolling drums, and skin chilling passion behind clean vocals throughout the chorus.
“Contact” flows easily in, a stagnant catchy melody lingers through keeping things steady and listeners interested.
Altars ends on a unique note, tranquil sounds dance through the speakers, stick-clicking among the drums are focused on as the song builds into the chorus, where vocals take over putting-forth a modernized emo aura, keeping fans and new listeners hooked on Make for Maine.
