Seer

Seer are a metal band based out of Vancouver, British Columbia and have recently released their new EP Vol. 7 via Hidden Tribe.

The band mingles the depth of metal driven music intertwined with light melodies. 

With Vol. 7 Seer compiles the band’s work since their full-length album, Vol 6. The EP features  “Children of the Dying Light,” their 2020 cover of Soundgarden’s “Room a Thousand Years Wide” and brand-new track “Lunar Gateways.”

The new EP completes the band’s thematic narrative that began in 2015 with Vol 1. 

“Children of the Dying Light” hones in on the band’s talents in building a cinematic feeling with chugging tonal guitars is a swarm of heavy metal sounds.

“Lunar Gateways” features crisps transitions throughout the ascendancy of the track. As progression occurs the song Seer threads screaming vocals that play alongside the strong nature of the music within the tracks.

The Ep closes out on the band’s 2019 Soundgarden cover, “Room a Thousand Years Wide” keeping the song’s integrity intact while sprinkling in their spark of familiarity.

Vol. 7. Feature explorative, genre extensive sounds. Taking influence from classic doom, atmospheric black metal, progressive rock and old school death metal.
