Bandcamp of the Day: UFO Över Lappland

UFO Over Lappland

UFO Över Lappland are a post-rock band based out of Umeå, Sweden.

The band embodies easy-listening through psychedelic beats intertwined with hypnotics throughout this instrumental band.

The band is geared up to release a new record, Spokraketer due out April 29.

Tracks on the record such as “I’m Rolling Like Thunder, I’m Something You Don’t Understand,” embodying the use of glactical elements making for spacious sounds that play alongside melody carrying guitar and bass rhythms.

Other tracks such as “Seventh Sun of Orion” showcases an atmospheric aura. Guitars chime in while delivering a cosmic, stagnant energy.

As the record progresses, fans are greeted with heightened dynamic in “Blå Vägen” creating a new theme, picking up the pace making listeners feel as if they’ve entered a new universe.

The forthcoming EP ends on “Fire of ’94” with a driving bass sound and ascends into a creatively rock-packed track, leaving fans and new listeners wondering what’s next for this band.

Spokraketer will be available via Burnt Toast Vinyl pre-order is now live.

UFO Över Lappland has created heavily instrumental music before, in their 2018 self-titled release, the band featured active groovy melodies in songs like “Keep On Keepin’ On Space Truckin’” sweeping through speakers with immense galactic tone.

The record ends its story on “Lemmy On The Beach” emphasizing their rock roots while crafting a tied end to the story that record put-forth.
