It’s been over a year since the Fort Collins, CO-based cow punk band Arliss Nancy put out Simple Machines, but the album is finally available on vinyl. Says vocalist and bassist Kyle Oppold, “Simple Machines has been out for a little over a year and a half. We finally got it out on wax thanks to all the dudes at Loose Charm Records. We tried getting it out on vinyl sooner but it was a struggle. I’m so glad that Loose Charm stepped it and got it out there for people. I loved recording and writing that record. It has a lot of up and downs and I felt like people could relate well with it cause we’re just singing about being drunk, high or having a broken heart.”

Turns out Arliss Nancy (and many, many others) have been waiting quite a while to finally have these songs on wax. While the band already has another full album in the wings waiting to come out in the fall they are still keeping busy on the road. “We have a new record coming out in October called Wild American Runners. It’s all done, just waiting to be released! We’re super excited,” says Oppold. “We just got done with a little month run and we’ll be heading back to Europe August 29th through September 29th to support the new record. Then on the road all of October touring down to Fest supporting PJ Bond and also filling in as his backup band. All around good times ahead.”

Just what is it about Colorado that seems to breed this perfect hybrid of punk and country? “Mountains, nice weather, good beer, great people?” Chuckles Oppold, “Not sure, I think it just got lucky.”
