All the members of English-based melodic hardcore unit Heart in Hand met while they were in other bands that crossed paths. They spent most of 2012 on the road while simultaneously writing all the music for their next album. They managed to get into the studio in August 2012 to record their second album, Almost There. Then once that was done, it was right back to touring. Since then they have released another album via Siege of Amida Records/Century Media, which was recorded at Ridgeway Studios in Oxford, where they stayed day in and day out tracking guitars, bass, drums, and vocals. Carl Martin (bass) comments on the process of creating the new album: “We wanted to push the boundaries of our technical ability and how we get any messages these songs carry across. I’d say we felt a bit of pressure to make this record and have it be on par with the previous, but I think that was a good thing and it spurred us on to work harder than ever.” For now, Heart in Hand will be working on pre-production for their third full-length, of which they have a bout five songs written for currently, and touring solidly up until December.
