Lorna Shore are making their name within the metal community. In February the band released their ear pummeling record, Flesh Coffin via Outer Loop Records. Their music blisters with bent on hell speed, carrying a distinctive extreme metal vibe that seeks to melt eardrums of listeners. The bombastic nature of the music makes Flesh Coffin an intriguing listen, finding new corners that Lorna Shore take to showcase their metallic diversity. Lorna Shore have found a calling, and that is expanding the realm of metal music. With tracks like “FVNERAL MOON,” “Black Hollow” and “Desolate Veil,” the band find satsifying ways to bring to light death, black, prog and power metal and blend it together into a devastating record.
Full of grimacing music, the New Jersey metal act have taken their intense music to the road more than a few times. Earlier this year Lorna Shore was on the road with Carnifex, and have recently embarked on their own headlining tour with support from Bodysnatcher, Extortionist and Hive. With such a heavy touring schedule, Lorna Shore stopped by to provide easy tips on how to stay sane during all the ruckus of life on the road.
1. Have a pair of headphones. for sleeping in case someone snores, or personal enjoyment. We all have those guilty pleasure tunes.
2. Keep clean. Don’t get smelly.
3. Have things to read. Gain knowledge in your down time.
4. Time passers. Get a hobby.
5. Always be amped on playing the show. you are your own worst enemy, so being a drag will just bring you and your bandmates down. Warm-up, do whatever you have to do to get in that mindset to give the crowd your all.
